Origami Method

Origami Method

In the world of specialty coffee, every detail counts: the grind, the water temperature, the extraction time… and, of course, the brewing method.

The Origami Dripper is one of those pieces that, beyond its beauty, transforms the filtering experience into a true art.

What is the Origami Dripper?

Created in Japan, this dripper gets its name from its resemblance to origami. Its walls with pronounced folds are not only aesthetically pleasing but also serve a key technical function. These channels allow for a more uniform airflow, promoting a clean and balanced extraction.

Superior and Precise Extraction: The "petal" design and outlet hole optimize water and air flow. This results in a more even and precise extraction, highlighting the nuances and complex flavors of the coffee bean and achieving an exceptional balance between sweetness, acidity, and body.

Clean and Smooth Cup: Thanks to the efficiency of the filtration and controlled extraction, the resulting coffee tends to be very clean, without sediment, and with a smooth and silky mouthfeel.

Enhances Aromatic Notes and Sweetness: The Origami Dripper is particularly good at enhancing the natural sweetness and aromatic notes of coffee. This is due to the way it manages the water flow, allowing for better solubility of sugars and volatile compounds.

Thermal Stability: The high-quality ceramic helps maintain a constant water temperature, which is vital for even extraction and to avoid fluctuations that could affect the flavor.

Simplicity and Ease of Use: Despite its sophisticated design, the Origami method is relatively simple to use and clean, making it accessible to both experienced baristas and home coffee lovers looking to enhance their experience.

Attractive Aesthetics: Beyond its functionality, the Origami Dripper is a beautiful and colorful object that adds a touch of elegance and style to any coffee preparation space.

Its compact size and durability (provided it is handled carefully, as it is made of ceramic) make it relatively easy to transport, ideal for enjoying a good coffee away from home.
